Button Cottage is the most wonderful place either of have ever stayed. It has recently been restored to bring back some of it's gorgeous original features but also added modern conveniences and comfort. Nothing was overlooked. Every detail was thought through and every comfort was catered for. It is truly just so gorgeous to look at, decorated so perfectly. If you are looking for quaint English charm, this is your place. The views are absolutely stunning. Very short walk up the hill to an excellent cafe where we ate several times and a pub just a little further up the hill where we also ate twice, excellent food. The guidebook will give you all the details you need to enjoy your time in the region. Owners were available to us for any issues we may have had (we didn't) but not in our way. We would honestly come back and are recommending to all our friends!"

"Button Cottage is gorgeous as is the town of Shaftsbury.
It's clear as soon as you step in the front door that Melanie has worked really hard to attain the very high standard of the cottage. Everything in it is very high in quality and design. It's probably the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in and we have stayed in a few. Immediately outside the front door you have the famous Gold Hill which was used in the Hovis advert. Restaurants and places for coffee and breakfast on your doorstep. Wonderful views from all the windows. The cottage is warm, snug and very comfortable; the bed is amazing. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you could possibly need plus lots of generous goodies. We were lucky enough to have some sunshine so able to enjoy the lovely garden. Parking available nearby. Any couple, thinking of visiting Shaftesbury should definitely stay here.
Melanie and her partner are super friendly and so accommodating.

"We recently returned from a 4 night stay at Button Cottage, the cottage is utterly gorgeous from the first step inside, greeted by a table laden with treats Melanie had generously left for us. We absolutely loved our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend it.
The hosts have made sure there is everything and more to make a stay not only comfortable but special (extra mention must also go to the bed and all the linens which are all super sumptuous)."
